Sony Music Center (SongPal) Gracenote MusicID

When playing a CD whilst using Music Center(SongPal) on my Sony CMT-SX7B Hi-Fi Sound System, it only displays something like this on my iPhone:

Track 1: Unknown

Track 2: Unknown

Track 3: Unknown

Yet I’ve noticed somewhere in the app it mentions Gracenote MusicID/Gracenotes. How come it doesn’t recognise the tracks if Gracenote software is used? It’s more a suggestion to Sony really! - A good feature to add to Music Center (SongPal) would be artist/track recognition! (Surely this should be easy with WiFi enabled audio products!?

Sometimes CDs are encoded such that the metadata isn't readily available to media players. You make a good point and hopefully an improvement will be in the pipeline.
