https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/alpha-nex-interchangeable-lens-cameras/hot-shoe-adaptors-for-wireless-flash-and-studio-lightin/m-p/1422478#M3888 <P>I have an a350, an a77, and an Elinchrom D-Lite basic studio lighting kit which includes a trigger to fit to the hot shoe flash.&nbsp; I am unclear about the various hot shoe adaptors that Sony have, some as expensive as £150, that would enable me to mount the Elinchrom trigger.&nbsp; Some of the technical information mentions voltage protection.&nbsp; Does this only relate to cable conected devices?&nbsp; I cannot see the Elinchrom trigger pumping damaging voltage into the camera but do not know.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>I also want to operate my flash HVL-F42AM remotely without using the in-camera flash as the trigger.
