DSC-H300 - turns off and won't restart

I bought the DSC-300 second hand (I'm waiting to hear back from the seller).

When i've tried taking photos with it, it just turns off and won't turn back on.

I've tried changing the batteries, twice. Both with brand new batteries and i've done a hard reset. Neither have worked. The hard reset, i now can't get past the initial set up without it just turning off.

Hi @rhjones19 and welcome to the Community

Do you get to see what level the battery is at before the camera

turns off? It may sound a silly question but its worth checking if you're sure the cables

are ok and the batteries are actually charging?

If so I think you've already tried everything you can (including a reset.)

Either way I wouldn't be happy with it and I do hope the seller will refund you.

You could always contact Sony Support too about this.

The batteries were brand new and fully charged (I put them in myself)
