Got a Sony Cyber-Shot HX80, any tips?

Just got this camera brand new. I'd been taking my time to decide on which one I wanted. I know I don't want a DSLR, mainly because I do photo and video (for my podcast). But I figured this would be a nice step up from the old, half-busted, fujufilm point and shoot I've had for like 8 years.

If anyone has any tips or tricks for the HX80 I'd be glad to hear them! I'm definitely reading the manual (the menu's are a tad complicated), but I figured it couldn't hurt to reach out to you guys and ask.
