topic Audio E-to-E? (Avoiding echo / delay?) in Camcorders

I just bought a PJ740VE and the darn thing routes the audio through the system, so you can't monitor with cans while you record without hearing the sound with a .5 second delay, which makes things like interviews or any speech impossible - and effectively rendering the camera useless for anything except possibly wind-damaged atmos.

Is there some way to get the audio to go e-to-e - i.e. directly - from mic to cans, so you can check what you are recording like a proper camcorder?

Many thanks

T

Message was edited by: tobliss
