DCR HC19E Blank LCD

Anyone help me my lcd screen is not showing any images when recording it just stays black, also cannot view LCD in playback. Any help greatly appreciated

Hi there

Unfortunately I don't think there's a quick fix.

There are several possible reasons, the most likely (hopefully) is a faulty lcd ribbon cable.

There are a couple of videos on the net of how to repair / change it but unless you have no

warranty left on it then I really wouldn't attempt the job yourself.

It may be worth you getting a couple of quotes for repair first.

(Again if you have no warranty / protection.)
