Sony Handy Cam Help Needed

Hi,

i I have the Sony Handy Cam DCR-TRV270E

howdo I transfer the video footage from tape to my pc? I don't have drivers with this cam as they never came with it when I got it a while back, I have heard I need a fire wire cable but I don't know which one to buy and also do I need anything attached to my pic to plug the handy cam into it as the plug I have seen on some FireWire cables has a rounded edge not like a normal use plug.

Please can someone help me sort this out as I'm really lost on how to go about doing it,
