Are Sony able to provide a replacement Start / Stop button for a Sony HDR-GW66, 77 or 88 Waterproof Camcorder (See attached photos)? If not directly, I’d be grateful if you could forward this e-mail onto a Sony Department who might be able to help.

The camera, an HDR-GW88, works perfectly. However, it was dropped onto a hard floor from a height of only 3 feet and this button popped out. One of the two integral retaining clips which from part of the button snapped off when it hit the floor: -

The button can be inserted again but there is now a danger if will drop out, especially when I use the camera in the water.

Are Sony able to provide a replacement button? I will, of course, pay of it. I’d even be willing to buy a new camera, although you don’t make them anymore.

If you are able to send me a spare part please respond and I will send you my address, together with any payment and postage required.
