I had installed the Norton virus and it was going thru parental control etc - i closed out of that as i was not interested in that and wanted to by pass that section - i inadvertantly closed out of the entire preparation/installation and have not been able to retrieve the installation from the start menu - i am afraid that i am not getting full benefits out of my system as warned - how can i change this and re-install the rest?

Try restarting your computer, and if this does not solve the problem then you may have to recover your VAIO to get the benefits from the preparation.

However, the preparation appears only to invoke the dormant programs on your PC so you may not need it.

The most essential thing to do is to ensure that Norton Antivirus/Norton Internet Security is up-to-date, all recent patches and upgrades from VAIO-Link (excluding BIOS updates and firmware unless they are absolutely needed), updates for Windows XP from WindowsUpdate are applied, and finally, that the recovery disks if required are made.
