Hi to all

Need help

1) which bios upgrate will enable my mem to run on 266MHz?

2) can I install a 2 512 modules to upgade to 1G ram?

3) what is the max cpu I can upgrade too??

4)which 7600 hard drive is compatible with the GRX416SP(60G or more)

Im a new to the forum and cant find a way to make a serch...yet
So if anyones knows please.....

1) Get the latest BIOS then you'll have less trouble with new devices.

2) Yes

3) Not much more over 2Ghz

4) Don't think they make a laptop hard disk bigger than 80GB I'm afraid...

There's no search at the monent.

so you say the Version : R0206B0 update will make the ram run at 266Mhz??

and the ram upgrade to 1Ghz tell me that you are sure....

have you try your self any upgrade???

I cannot garuntee that the RAM will increase to 266Mhz.
As for the notebook supporting 1GB, you can always verify at www.crucial.com/uk/

I just check it
It says what sony says: max 512
I m suspicious though because the chipset(845mp) can support 1G

Maybe best to stay with 512MB
