Sony Vaio VGN-FW41M Processor supports NX but no option in Bios

I'm trying to upgrade to windows 10. I've checked the spec of the processor (Intel Core 2 Duo P8700) and it supports 'NX' which is required for Win 10.

I've checked in the Bios and I can't find a setting to switch it on/off. Is there likely to be a Bios update to allow this hardware to support Windows 10?

Hi mbenson1000,

As Sony have not provided any support for either Windows 8 or Windows 10 for this model it is most unlikely that a BIOS update will be forthcoming, especially as the Sony Vaio brand no longer exists 😞

:p{ so disappointing. The hardware (apart from the bios) is easily capable. I have heard of home cooked bios flashing. Has anyone ever tried for a VAIO?
