Hi all

My beloved 'desktop' has a problem.
I have all sorts of lines on the display.
I think it began with the pc shutting itself down the other night.

At first we thought it may have been
an overheating and checked the internal cpu - which showed 80 across the board

After taking the back off and cleaning vents and what parts of the fans were accessible,
I rebooted and all was well for a while - temps dropped back to 65-70 degrees.
After 5 minutes the lines reappeared and since then have appeared from startup even after a cold boot.

I'm now wondering whether its the graphics card itself. Didn't manage to locate it on first look inside it.

Any ideas without taking the back off again?

EDIT: Now worried that the Nvidia chip is incorporated into the motherboard. Can any users confirm this as his would mean a motherboard replacement.
