topic Vaio LT1M Display problems in PCs & Accessories https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/pcs-accessories/vaio-lt1m-display-problems/m-p/41495#M15054 <HTML><HEAD></HEAD><BODY><P>Hi all<BR /><BR />My beloved 'desktop' has a problem.<BR />I have all sorts of lines on the display. <BR />I think it began with the pc shutting itself down the other night.<BR /><BR />At first we thought it may have been<BR />an overheating and checked the internal cpu - which showed 80 across the board<BR /><BR />After taking the back off and cleaning vents and what parts of the fans were accessible,<BR />I rebooted and all was well for a while - temps dropped back to 65-70 degrees.<BR />After 5 minutes the lines reappeared and since then have appeared from startup even after a cold boot.<BR /><BR />I'm now wondering whether its the graphics card itself. Didn't manage to locate it on first look inside it.<BR /><BR />Any ideas without taking the back off again?<BR /><BR />EDIT: Now worried that the Nvidia chip is incorporated into the motherboard.
