Sony Vaio Admin Password.

My mother has forgoten the admin password for her Sony Vaio. Is there a way I can reset it? The computer has not been used since set up so don't need to worry about loosing any data. My brother has suggested re-installing windows 7. Will this work?

Please try the good advice given by passwordreset but if nothing there helps, you can reset the Vaio to factory settings by tapping F10 during boot - when you see the Vaio splash screen.
