VGNAR71M laptop. What's a good temperature?

The official min/max temperature is 0-100 celcius. (This is on the T8100 dual core CPU specs)

My laptop has a temperature of 50-65 celcius. Is it a good temperature or should I get any coolers?

Yeah I guess. But it gets really hot down there, so that's why I keep wondering wether or not I should buy a laptop cooler. When I put my hand under the CPU it burns lol. It's not like I put it on a pillow or anything.

Pretty much, I just want to keep it for the longest time available; it's a good old boy.

Hi eru777,

A fan assisted cooler can be a good idea as long life seems to depends on cool temperatures of both CPU and GPU. It seems the Graphics Chip can be harmed by excessive heat and you should check the temperature of this as well as the CPU.

The AR-Series takes in air through the vents on the bottom of the case and these are easy to cover as this model has a low 'ground clearance'.

The GPU (NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400m gt)

is 64 degrees celcius with some google chrome tabs open (youtube vids). Hm.. Maybe I should get a cool pad. Hopefully I'll find something that's as big as 42 X 30 cm (it's a rather large laptop)

Thanks for your reply, I'll think about it some more before deciding wether or not to buy one..Greece is pretty hot in the summer (duh)

I see another person's answer you have copied and pasted from another forum (and pretended it was your own) is over 5 years old and about a totally different computer. There have been lots of changes since then and your information is well out of date and contributes nothing to the answer.
