PCG 282-M support

Hi, I bought a Sony Vaio about 6 years ago. No problem until for some reason the camera stop working.

I went to control panel and there is no camera...

I decided to update drivers using Sony support page... But I cannot see the PCG-282M model as supported model.

Any clue? Thanks ahead.

Hi antagraber,

welcome to Questions & Answers..

PCG-282M you have quoted is the chassis number which would make it difficult to find information as this is NOT the actual model number..

The correct model number can be found just below the VAIO's display, see image below..

Once you've loacted the model number let us know and we'll point in the direction of the support page should this still prove difficult..

I found the label (a small, tiny black one).

This time I got the right drivers from the support page.

i know its been many years but i can't find a small black lable on my PCG 282M.

can you tell me what was on yours and where it was located please?
