hi all !

does anyone with a Vaio VGC-M1 Desktop have the same problem with sound as me ?

when i play a audio file eg. mp3,cd through SoundFlow, Vaio Zone, Winamp etc. i always hear a clicky, crackly, scratchy sound with any music.
it is more prominent whenever the mouse cursor is moved back & forth over the program interface/software.

turning on or off the SonicStage Mastering Studio Audio Filter does no difference to the crackling sound.
ticking (clicking) on or off the 'allow unsupported programs to use sonicstage audio filter' have no effects too !
by default, my audio device is SoundMax integrated digital audio.
does the soundcard incorporates a seperate treble & bass controls on volume control interface ?

Has any one sorted out this problem yet?

I too have the same problem and its very annoying because i really dont want to send my machine back, other than the problem i love it.

i have noticed a peculiarity though, the popping, crackling noises dont happen when your watching live tv, neither do they happen if your listening to music and the tv is on screen too..

If you then turn the AUX volume down so you cant hear the tv(although its still running on screen) you can listen to music without popping noises, no matter how much harddrive activity is going on.. as soon as you switch the tv off though the noises come back... i guess this pretty much rules out it being a hardware fault so it must be a driver issue.

Theres no new drivers available so not sure what the solution is...anyone else had any luck...its doing my head in
