Dear Kee-Lo

I have bought the necessary left/right phono to 3.5mm line in cable and am in a better position than previously; I can listen to the sound, and through 'start/programs\accessories\entertainment\sound recorder' am now able to record the sound......for 1minute!!

The format of the file is now correct as a .WAV, but clearly 1 minutes worth of recording isnt going to be enough.

I am actually recording music from a DJ Mixer, so I cannot use the 'record from CD' option in Windows media player.

Once again, I seek your advice.

Thanks for your help. It is very much appreciated.

Robbie

Your best bet might be to download the free trial version of 'Media Jukebox' from the web. The program can encode many types of files through your line-in and there is no limit to the tracks - you have absolute control.

I use it on my Vaio for transferring old cassettes and the such-like to .wma files. It is great! Do a bit of web research and find the website (I don't have it to hand, but it should be easy to find) and see what you think.
