Is there anyway to convert the Mic input to a second audio output channel (many sound cards allow this multi use of ports) on the to enable dual channel stereo audio?

My old Dell had the feature, allowing for me to route audio for one application through one channel and another app through the 2nd channel.

Is the on board soundcard capable of this, switching the mic port to a 2nd speaker out channel?

As far as I know, there are no VAIO models that allow you to reassign audio ports functions.

Bought a £2.50 USB sound card and then used asio4all to couple the two soundcards together to appear as one 4 channel sound device
