Touchpad problem when charging

Hi when my Sony Viao is charging the touchpad stutters and stops frequently making it unusable. This doesn't happen when it's battery 'driven'. Any ideas? The model is VGN-NW21ZF and is lightly used and just over a year old.

Hi Karen,

That is an odd problem as it is difficult to see how this should affect the touchpad. Perhaps it is the heat from the charging battery that is causing it but the battery is not particularly close to the touchpad.

You could try reinstalling the Touchpad/Pointing Driver from here: -

You can also try changing the Touchpad properties in Vaio Control Center to see if this helps but my personal opinion is that this is a hardware/wiring/powerboard issue that may need someone to look inside for the cause.
