ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 latest update from AMD Site

hi,

i have vgn_fw41mh with radeon hd 4650 but lately i was updating stuff on the laptop and i notice the graphic drivers are old from 2009, i went to amd site and find recent oct 2010 driver for hd 4650, can i install that safely?

i ask because i don't know if sony do maybe some custom revision on the card, although vaio update not bringing anything up.

plz help.

Sony do customise the driver and I do not think the driver you mention will install on your Vaio.

I would wait for Sony to release an update - this only usually happens when an update is required to fix a problem of gives a measurable advantage, not every time a new version is released.

If you are experiencing a problem with the current driver then let Sony Support know the details.
