topic VIRUS SOFTWARE in PCs & Accessories

A free 60-day virus software was installed on my Vaio Notebook (P11ZR/R). Four days before it expired, I was going to pay for the package, but couldn't get on-line! The next time I went back to it, the trial had expired and I was unable to take advantage of the offer!

I have since installed PC Guard from Virgin (free of charge 'cos it's paid for on my main PC).

Problem is, Windows Defender is still on my notebook and carries out a scan every so often.

My qestions are: would Windows Defender have been enough protection on its own?

and

Now that I have PC Guard, should I delete Windows Defender? If so, how?
