Hi all,

I'm having a bit of difficulty with my Viao. It began with the computer switching off minutes after start up, now on start up is reads and error message stating 'harddisk failure'.

I've run the simple diagnostics 'restore point' 'scans etc' and have come to the conclusion that it is probably best to recover the hard drive using the recovery disks - however it seems that I did not create the disks correctly (disk two is not working).

Is there anything I can do to restore my computer without the disks? Can I get the disks anywhere else? I'm happy to explore avenues before I give up and take to a repair shop

- All ideas welcome -

Thanks
