topic Crash Dump in PCs & Accessories

I have a sony vaio ns series, i purchased it in march and stupidly never got around to creating a recovery disk for it, and naturally the other day my laptop got a virus and now it wont load up, it loads up, then immediately goes to a blue screen which says something about crash dump because it has detected a threat. I can load it up in safe mode but its not ideal lol. I have heard people talking about pressing f10 when the computers loading up, and i tried it and it seems to work if i wanted to format it that way, but i dont think it will load all the drivers and programmes which came with the vaio. I have sent an email to sony but they have yet to get back to me. Does anyone know how much they will charge for a recovery disk, or does anyone know if i am covered by a warranty or not. I didnt pay for extra insurance but i dont know if there is something in the terms which means they will repair it.

Cheers
