Battery problem

Hello,

On my AR21S the battery seemed to be not working anymore, cause without AC plugged in, no power.

So I bought a new one, but ... same issue.

Even if Windows shows it present and 100% charged, if I remove my plug, it lasts 4 seconds, and POWER OFF.

What do you think ?

Hi pascalmagnette,

Was the replacement battery a genuine Sony battery? If so it would seem that you have a hardware problem – motherboard related. I assume that your notebook is out of warranty?

Are you receiving as message to the effect that “No battery is present”?

no, it's not a genuine. And yes, it says the battery is there and fully charge.

At the very first time, I even get a chance to get a full time with the battery, but since then ... no more than 4 seconds ...

I would suggest you to contact the supplier of the battery and inform them of the problem.

If they have guaranteed that this (non Sony) battery will work with your notebook then I assume they will offer a refund.
