    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I've had my VGN- CR21z/R about 5 months now and everytime i start up i get the error " vaio entertainment file import service had stopped working" . does anyone knw how to make this stop as it seems to stall my notebook until i close the error window. highly frustrating!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;also, on startup i hear the vista logo sound, once in vista i have no sound, i checked my drivers are up to date and it says they are, the volume control shows all the volume levels are up and device manager shows no errors, any ideas? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Really hope someone can help, thanks a mill &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.co.uk/html/@3191CA7235A406D833094BA2DD1CF2FF/images/smilies/011.png" alt=":slight_smile:" title=":slight_smile:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Not sure about the sound - seems odd - has it never worked? or did you install something and then is stopped working?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As for the Entertainment Platform try installing &lt;A href="http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/info/info.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons&amp;amp;url=Downloads/SO/A/VEP/SOAVEP-01580500-UN.exe&amp;amp;ip=SOAVEP-01580500-UN.htm" target="_blank"&gt;this&lt;/A&gt;  update - restarting and then installing &lt;A href="http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/info/info.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons&amp;amp;url=VAIO/Updates/EP0000144425.exe&amp;amp;ip=EP0000144425.htm" target="_blank"&gt;this one&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If this doesn't have any effect try &lt;A href="http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/info/info.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons&amp;amp;url=VAIO/Updates/EP0000145134.exe&amp;amp;ip=EP0000145134.htm" target="_blank"&gt;this update&lt;/A&gt; .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.co.uk/html/@3191CA7235A406D833094BA2DD1CF2FF/images/smilies/011.png" alt=":slight_smile:" title=":slight_smile:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks i installed two of the updates and the error seems to have stopped.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As for the sound problem, after hours of trying to figure it out it turns out that Vista is to blame, downloading the new SP1 changes driver settings. a quick reinstall of my sound drivers fixed it &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.co.uk/html/@3191CA7235A406D833094BA2DD1CF2FF/images/smilies/011.png" alt=":slight_smile:" title=":slight_smile:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lets hope no more problems arise!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
