Hi my first post, my sony fz18e recently come back from the sat due a problem with the motherboard,

now fan is running constantly non-stop even when gpu is at 60º and cores are at 46-47

i´ve been searching forum for answers and tried this

1. Restart your VAIO.
2. Press F2, when you see the Sony Logo.
3. In the BIOS, select Power with the arrow keys.
4. Select Thermal Control Strategy and press ENTER.
5. Select Silence.
6. Press F10 and then ENTER to save the changes and exit.

If the above option is not available in the BIOS:

1. Right-click the Powerpanel icon in the system tray.
2. Click Edit/Create Profiles, then double-click Thermal Control Strategy-Performance.
3. Change the settings to Quiet.

but my vaio does not has those options and i dont know where to set the settings to quiet

also it looks like its always trying to access the hard drive despite i´ve turn off aero, sidebar and the indexing,

I´ve also buy a zalman nc-2000 to get it cooler, but no way to turn the fan speed down

Any way to fix it? or do i have to send it back to sat?

ty a lot in advance
