      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi paulinekennard and welcome to Club Vaio.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just check it is the processor overheating.  Download &lt;A href="http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/MobileMeter.shtml" target="_blank"&gt;MobileMeter&lt;/A&gt; and check the temperature of your CPU.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Normal CPU temperature is about 60 to 70 degrees and the Vaio will shut down when the CPU temperature reaches 90 degrees.  If the fan is still working, this is usually caused by a build up of dust in the fan housing.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try using a can of compressed air and blowing it through the ventilation slots.  This may remove most of the dust but if your Vaio is actually shutting down you may have to take the Vaio apart to clean it properly.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I attach the manual for your model below - have a look at page 10 which shows removal of the fan assembly.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
