AV BUTTON DOES NOT WORK ON FZ11S

This is not just my sony vaio FZ11S - i have recently read online that many people with the same notebook model as mine has experianced teh same problem, with some people it will go into a "cmd prompt" screen, and with mine it and other people it goes into Windows Media Centre.

Ill go into detail - If i click the av button when the notebook is powered off, it will just simply act as a power up button, and just load windows...when i press teh av button when the OS is booted, it will just launch Media Centre (Already pre installed)

I have read an online review of this laptop recently after purchasing it, and it described exactly teh same problem, Sony needs to adres this issue, i hope a minor software/driver update will fix this problem and i hope its not hardware related?

So if anyone can shed some light about this annoying issue (as i want to use this laptop as a protable DVD player) it will be greatly appreciated.

same issue
i always thought it would allow me to watch dvd's etc without having to boot up the OS
oh well

you can set it so that it gives you the option to open other programs instead (start menu then AV button config)

personally i think its half vista and half sony

Yeh but personally I don't think this is a reasonable explanation..if sony brag about it so much in thier technical specifications and feature it heavily as a cool feature, then why not include it?

However i have heard that it does work on some Fz11s's (apparently???)
