Swapped keys on keyboard

Hi does anybody nkow what is causing swapped keys on keyboard. On the PCG-GR214EP the following keys are affected.
The left shift produces a 'p'
The 'p' produces nothing
The right shift produces 'backspace'
'backspace' produces nothing
'-' produces nothing
'[' produces nothing
'L' (lowercase) produces L turned 180 degrees
';' produces nothing
'/' produces nothing

As I can't use shift I have no idea what the shift of these keys produces.

An external keyboard performs normally.
You see apattern, it appears to affecting a bunch of keys in a cluster apart from the left shift.
Any thoughts please.

Hi ednapat and welcome.

As an external keyboard performs normally I suspect that there is a ribbon cable/circuitry problem with the internal keyboard.
