Help with AR11M

Hello all (my 1st post, so forgive my noobishnees).

Anyway, i am sick of all the crap that gets installed onto my laptop from the setup cd's. Just look at MSCONFIG and theres like 30+ processes running, what for?? All i wanna do is harness the full power of the laptop without all that other crap.

Anyway I want to install my XP-Pro cd. When I try run it from basic dos mode (Ie booting up from startup) it says no hard drive present?

Is it because its raid maybe.

Any help appreciated.

That must be it. I think when the setup CD is starting, it asks for loading raid drivers by pressing F6 or Fsomething (it appears on the line at the bottom of the setup screen).

im having the same problem, but if you dont have a usb disc floppy drive then the same destiny awaits you like me did.
add drivers to your xp installation. use keywords like "clean install" & "clean install sata" when searching this forum (gives a lot of good info) and "adding sata drivers xp" when searching google ...

if u get pass my problem then please help me out 😃
