Slow start up

Hiya,

ive noticed lately my computer appears to be taking its time to load up, longer than usual. Could this be due to the fact i have more than one antivirus software installed? What else could cause this?

Yes it could be due to more than one AV loading, try setting only one AV to auto load at startup, this may help..

Probably get rid of Zone alarm and keep Norton (think i have NTL installed somewhere as well!).....hope its a wise move! Presume they all carry out the same job anyway..

Hi summy,

Norton does use a lot of your systems resources, why not keep zonealarm and install a free AV, something along the lines of AVG and also why not install Spybot S&D, again free, to check for any spyware, etc..

If you decide to remove Norton, you may find this link of interest..
