wmpnetwk.exe slowing down my laptop any remedies.

I have found a little success using Task Master but it does not always seem to work by just ending process.

What if i delete this file, do I need it?

I would appreciate any help.

Hi felinefriends,

Assuming that you don’t share media over your local network then open Windows Media Player > Library > Media Sharing and uncheck ‘Share My Media to:’

Depending on your model and OS there may also be an option to turn off media sharing in ‘Network and Sharing Center’.

I suggest that you don’t delete the file as it is component of Windows Media Player.

I cannot find Media Sharing or Networking and Sharing Centre.

I have Windows 7.
