I bought my tablet s1 32 GB on friday 16th & it has been working fine until today. I powered it on and the passcode page came up. i entered my passcode and the home screen appeared but before i could touch the screen it went back to start up. Again, tried to enter my passcode but before i could even do this it went back to the start up. Continued to do so for 20 mins and still doing this when i tried a minute ago. I happen to be looking at the tablet and it goes through this process without a touch of the screen. Total let down. Tried ringing sony support but closed so will try in the morning. Has anyone had similar problems? is there a fix. 2 days and it is not working properly (did not open it until 17th) will really not except it if they say to send it back for repair!

Agreed. First thing is not to panic. There is a massive wealth of knowledge collectively here so best to take one step at a time.

My best recommendation is visiting the link below and trying ALL 3 options before moving on to step 4 in order

Hi there,

Did you ever manage to solve this problem? I have had my tablet for about 6 weeks now, after 4 weeks I was having the same problem you describe.

It will restart continuously until I actually manage to manually shut it down before it 'crashes'. Then if I leave it for a while, sometimes up to two days it will then be fine for a couple of days before 'crashing' again... when it then becomes a very expensive paperweight for a 2/3 days.

This has essentially made the tablet unusable as it is far too unreliable.

I haven't been able to open the help pages described in this post, it simply takes me to the language select screen and them to the normal 'Sony Home Page'.

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated as I'd rather not have to RMA the tablet after I've had it for such a short time
