hi, ill try to keep this simple. I want to "throw" a picture to my tv (a 7 series samsung) and/or my ps3, but I have no idea where to start. any simple step by step guide woyld be great.

Install Twonkey Beam browser from the Market (it is free) and start with beaming (=throwing) a youtube movie.

If you want to throw video files on your tablet or on a mediaserver via your tablet,

install UPnPlay from the Market, and install MX Video Player from the Market.

these programs work.

the DLNA app that comes with the tablet does not have great wide-compatible capacity (yet).

great help. but sadly it looks like my devices aren't compatible and as such I cant do what I wish. very disapointing after the sony adverts seemed to claim that media could be thrown to any dlna device.

hi breedbenr i just got the app twonky and it sees my sony bava. but when i try to beem it says unable to beam meada. please am i not doing something right?

Thank you i can now streem all my media to my tablet and plays great.

useing upnplay as server and rockplayer lite as player.

there is DLNA and DLNA...

it began with DLNA for pictures show, soon DLNA for music and video playing followed.

this was using a server and a client.

Than throwing was added, i.e. use one device as a remote.

Older DLNA clients do not support the remote control and the throwing.

In the Sony range, the examples are Bravia TV 2009, 2010 models, and blurays and mediaplayers of those years, and the PS3.

Newer DLNA clients do support the remote control.

More or less the same for TVs from other manufacturers

The twonke forum that i linked to has a list of compatible devices.

Firmware updates COULD improve this (i think, DLNA is not a hardware thing),
but so far 2009 and 2010 models have not received this kind of functional upgrading through firmware updates.

For a Sony Bravia: it depends on your model (2009? 2010? it won't work. 2011? it should work.)
