Significant performance issues after nougat update

I was very happy to see nougat update released for this "old" device by Sony. However device is now quite unusable. Just a moment ago it killed spotify while it was playing (one of 3 running applications) when I opened browser, likely because it ran out of RAM. Switching applications is slow and going to home screen makes icons load and popup slowly like when booting device. Reboot helps for a while.

Using my software engineer deduction skills I would say something is broken on memory management side. There is only 420MB free memory after boot, out of 2700MB. When it hits 200MB free these problems start. So effectively the device seems to have ~200MB working space for applications ...

I have the exact same issue. Am having to reboot regularly.

Really frustrating and should not be happening.

I'm having the same exact problems After nougat update 7.1.1 for example:

1- lags everytime i press home

2- all apps close by themselves after a while

3- slowness

4- huge battery drain

I can't use the device anymore and reseting it didn't work

Pleeeease fix this ASAP
