KDL46Z5500 - how do I make this SMART?

I would be very grateful for advice with this. It is plugged into the internet but I had hoped that it would access iplayer etc but that isn't happening. What are my options?

Not via the set itself - easiest way is to get any of the current Sony Blu-ray players as this will add all the functionality without the need to replace the TV,

Unfortunately, you have a below intelligence television in regards to todays standards. Your TV supports the Sony Applicast features, which does not include things like the BBC's iPlayer.

To add Smart (ie Internet) features to your TV, you have the choice of the following 2 options

Replace your TV for a younger smarter model - such as the following range : Here
Adding a Sony Blu-Ray player would be the most economical way to go. See the following range : Here
