Changing image size whilst watching netflix content via netflix app

I have just purchased a KDL50W829. The problem I am having is that when I watch content via Netflix, I do not have the option of changing the image size - so that I can watch without letterboxing.

When watching normal TV I select - OPTIONS -> Screen Format and can then choose from Wide Zoom, Normal, Full etc.

However within the Netflix app when I select OPTIONS - I have only Picture Options, Sound Option, Scene Select and 3D settings

Hope that someone can advise...

Have you tried the size button left bottom of the remote?

Hi - sorry, but there isn't a size button on the remote contol for this model.

Try this when watching DVD, Netflix or any other input

Press the Sync Menu button

Select TV Control, you then have access to Screen Format where your Zoom facility is available

Netflix sends 4:3 want to change to full screen have Sony Bravia sync menu and wide screen not available, is there a solution?

I Just bought the 43" KD43XH8096 Sony Bravia Smart TV & it does the same thing, on tv mode I can zoom in but not on Netflix App (Feature Not Available), is there an answer to this question?

Hi @Pickers48

This is just a limitation of the source you're watching. Some options in the Action menu may be greyed out or not available depending on the source (so you may be able to change certain settings when watching TV, but not when using an app for example).

It's recommended to keep your TV up to date at all times any, just in case this changes in the future.
