Sony Bravia KDL24W605a no longer loading Iplayer

Iplayer has worked for over 3 years on this tv,(only bought 4 years ago), without a problem. For the last 2 days it sticks on loading. From the iplayer support site I see that a number of sony tvs compatability with iplayer ceased sept 2016 but my model is not listed. Can someone help me here please?

Same issue here on my KDL-32W653A which is also not listed as being defunct.

Also on a 40W905A, stuck on loading BBC iPlayer / Sport / News apps currently.

Access to bbc Iplayer has stopped. Would you supply a solution please? All other features are working.

Hi George. The BBC sorted it. They had disabled Iplayer from playing on some sony TV's. Go to the iplayer home page and then contact BBC at the foot of the page. I've just looked and they have reported such a fault on this Saturday.

I have a Sony Bravia which I have had for maybe 5 years. BBCiPlayer stopped working last night - wouldn't load . BBC website seems to say I need a set top box to watch BBC iPLayer but that's what I bought my Sony TV for ! Can anyone help ? Tony

What model of Sony is it? You've had it for 5 years, is that from new? Seems odd that you would now need a set top box having had iplayer till the other night.
