How can the"New Service available reminder be tuned off " on a KDL-32D3000 TVand a RDR-HXD recorder

Using a KDL-32D3010 TV and a RDH-HXD870 recorder receiving signals from 2 Arials, one for London Channels tne other for Southern Channels, they appear to feed into one i/p cable.

Apart from having to tune the TV for southern channels and the Recorder for London I find that I have to retune the Recorder every day on account of "the Channel update message"

I have been told that I need to turn the "New service available reminder" notice OFF to avoid the constant retune, any one know how to do this on my equipment.

Hi there myford, sorry you've had to wait for a response.

It may be that the Recorder is simply trying to seek the best possible signal. If you check the manual for Auto Fine Tune (p134) it's possible to disable this and hopefully stop the contstant re-tuning.
