      <description>&lt;P&gt;Started to get th is on the tv this morning. Was quite persistent and had to disconnect power to resolve. Sky Q is in the background but was a tv message not Sky. Have checked and no updates availble.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Still get this occasionally,every month or so. I havent installed anything new so must be one of the default apps that tries to auto start every now and then. &lt;P&gt;I would suggest to perform a Factory Reset on your TV. It should in most cases get rid of the problem.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;H6&gt;&lt;FONT size="5"&gt;To perform the factory reset follow the next steps:&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/H6&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Un-plug the TV power cord (mains lead) from the electrical outlet&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Allow the TV to remain without power for one minute&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Plug the power cord (mains lead) back into the electrical outlet - The TV should turn on automatically&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Wait approximately 40 seconds for the TV to completely start up&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;On the TV remote control, press and hold the UP ARROW button. &lt;LI&gt;Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup&lt;/LI&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've had the sort of advice with my mobile phone and a day later having backed up and restored everything its still the same. How come a reset will sort it when it hasn't had anything installed on it?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi &lt;a href="https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/779468"&gt;@Ben4567&lt;/a&gt;,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is no way for the customer to fix software issues other than performing a Factory Reset. If after a FR you still are encountering the issue, then the issue is due to a hardware fault which will require you to book a service repair. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;Dutchice</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I wonder how long this issue has been plaguing Sony customers? I have exactly the same problem and there's nothing to do but turn the whole thing off at the plug, which also happens to affect my internet. Why don't you fix the issue and send an update? We pay a lot for the product and shouldn't be regularly messed around like this - turning on to catch a programme especially and finding ourselves unable to until we've gone through a whole ridiculous low tech process. Talk about contempt for the customer!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Jamesb57.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I also checked this on my other Sony yesterday, with the same result, so I have emailed Sony Support. Previously I have informed ITV about it and they are looking into it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have tried SonyGadget’s approach and got eventually to watch part 2 of the programme when it fell at the next set of adverts.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As my main TV is also connected to a Mac Mini, we were able to watch the whole programme through the browser, so it seems to be down to the Sony/ITV app.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My 2 TV’s are the KD-65XG7073 and the KDL-32WE613.&lt;BR /&gt;--------------------------------------------------------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;The information contained in this email is confidential and may be privileged.       <description>&lt;P&gt;We've just had same problem with skyq in the background . When the message is displayed it say press return in the corner.&amp;nbsp; We kept doing this and nothing happened.&amp;nbsp; Tried turning off and on etc. Still no good.&amp;nbsp; We then realised we were doing everything on the sky remote and not the Sony tv remote . Pressed return on that and solved problem immediately. Not sure how/why it had gone wrong in first place but hope this works for you&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I purchased my first Sony around 1 year ago after having an LG nothing fancy potentially even second hand because I thought I’d treat myself and your meant to be really up and coming with lots of innovative software and hardware alike.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;I have changed my internet provider twice as I thought the TV I have spent a lot of money on surly shouldn’t be the cause of the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;I have never installed an additional app but simply want to watch Gavin and Stacey on BBC I player. EVERY SINGLE DAMN NIGHT IT BUFFERS! Sometimes it even quits the program if the application is too large!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i have performed a factory reset and constantly turn off and on my tv but it makes not one ounce of difference.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;some applications like Netflix thankfully work but others don’t I have never been able to load Amazon Prime since the day I got it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;I wish I’d have known this is a common fault before making the decision to purchase this TV which I already want to replace with something problem free!&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;is there anything you can do? Or will it be at my own cost that there’s a known common/sometimes intermittent issue with the software or hardware? Alternatively I will just be risk free and never spend my money on Sony ever again&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I player is more intermittent some nights perfect other nights I am forced to turn it off even flicking it off and on from the mains plug.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I am 99% sure it’s nothing to do with WIFI as we have other TVS/devices in the house which loads it perfectly fine.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Weeks later after trying these trouble shoots, still having the same issue and frustrating is not the word!&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;ITV hub is currently the worst! Sometimes it’s BBC IPlayer, either way I am fed up with Sony. It’s clear there’s a common fault, everyone on this thread should not need to troubleshoot this often. I have never ever had this with a competition TV, even a cheaper one.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What can you actually do to help? I have here a product that I can not use to full capacity.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just a suggestion.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My TV recently did a software update. Have you checked to see if your TV is at the latest software (firmware) version? There is a way of forcing the check for updates in the settings I think.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In my ownership of Smart TV's which is 10 years plus, its pretty rare to be offered an update so it could be to address your issue. I don't use the Apps you mention so can't comment there I'm afraid.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Have you checked that the apps are also up to date? You can force fetch all updates using the Refresh Internet Content option from the Network settings menu.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
