UBP-X700 - what is the spec of the HDMI outputs?

This article claims the X700 has one HDMI 2.0 port and one HDMI 1.4 port (which no doubt refers to the audio only output).

I can find no published Sony information that either backs this up or contradicts it, but I thought that HDR needed HDMI 2.0a?

Can anyone tell me the HDMI spec of these two ports, and/or put me straight on what the HDMI requirements for HDR are?

Hi royabrown,

I took a look at the player's specs and found that it indeed supports outputting HDR through HDMI 1 only (The only port that supports video) while HDMI 2 supports audio only. The full specifications can be found on page 31 of the manual.

Thanks, but I’ve seen that, and it doesn’t specify the version of HDMI on port 1; not even as ‘2’, let alone 2.0, 2.0a or 2.0b. Nor does it mention HDR on that page; though it does elsewhere in that manual
