information needed!!

i currently have a sony dav-dz230, i am trying to buy the geniune sony digital media port, i would like to play music from my pc through the dz230 , without having to burn cds and then playing them on the dz230, would this digital media port allow me to do this? if i cant purchase the geniune item could you put me in touch with a alternative, i currently play music cds through this dz230, and for me its performance is brilliant.

Yes you can but unfortunately, Sony discontinued those DMP, you have to buy them from Ebay resellers.

In the meantime, you can for now use the audio line in and connect it to your computer

hi, my question now is,

once I have connected the sound card out to a rca splitter box with a male
connecter to go in the aux- in on the dav-dz230, will the sound go to
stereo or full cinema sound? Ive had a look at the back of my computer I
also have a hdmi port on my sound card, and the dav-dz230 has a hdmi-out,
if these are connected, would I get all speaker cinema sound? and lastly if
I had the digital media port from sony for the dav-dz230 would this have
given me all speaker cinema sound from my pc?

Yes , you need to use the dsp (movie, cinema etc...) Since you have all that, you can try and "see" by yourself
