Android 10 one handed mode with gestures?

Hi

Does anyone know how to go into one handed mode with the new gestures feature on android 10?

When you go to the enable/disable in the settings, it still shows you with the old 3-button layout.

Did you go to settings and find System navigation in settings?

There are 3 options:

  • Gesture navigation
  • Swipe up on Home button
  • 3-button navigation

In settings you can find one-handed mode by typing 'mode' and scroll down.

Hope this helps.

Hmm not really, but i can see how my question could be misunderstood.

I can find both options in the settings, but how do you activate one-handed mode when using the new gesture navigation?

What i meant was, that when you go to one-hand mode in the settings, it shows you how to engage one-hand mode when using "Swipe up on Home button".

It just isn't present in gesture navigation.

I have a Xperia 5 and have to use side sense to make that happen.

I agree, if you want to use gestures, you have to use Side Sense feature. You can setup Side Sense to be a double-tap, slide up, or slide down; and choose the left, right, or both sides. Position, length and sensitivity: to obtain the one-handed mode button.

It would be nice to set swipe left and right corners to be anything you want besides Google Assistant; like one-handed mode. Like how Side sense lets you sorta choose what slide up and slide down can be.
