I have a Xperia 1v. I have paired my Sony buds and a Bluetooth speaker but media still plays through the phone instead of the device. Phone calls go through the speakers. In the bluetooth settings media is selected.
Since both Bluetooth devices don't play media I'm assuming it's the phone at issue.
Both devices work on my old Xperia 1ii
