Dual shock mount

Hi,

just wanted to ask where can I buy such dual shock 4 mount for xperia 1 as it is shown on below video using xperia 5? (You need to switch to 9min to see it):

https://youtu.be/-vc556w3ATg

As it seems the height can be adjusted so it should also fit to my xperia 1 right?

On the official sony site I didn't see it.

Do you know where it can be bought?

Also did someone tested it? It looks different Ifrom previous mount. I remember that previous iteration of playstation app had a huge lag so it was not possible to play the games because of it (I have fast Internet with good ping).

Please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi @azzido2, sorry for the late reply, I had to do some digging to make sure it was the right controller and request some information about where it could be bought.

The mount is called "GRAPHT XD Mount DUALSHOCK4 to Xperia EPA34-001XM Game Controller Mount made for Sony Xperia" and is not sold directly by Sony, but it is available on Amazon on the link below. It may also be available on other sites, such as eBay.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/GRAPHT-DUALSHOCK4-EPA34-001XM-Controller-compatible/dp/B07HRVBCWX/

In the title it says that it's compatible with 2017 models and later, so you should be able to use it with your Xperia 1 as well.

@RottenFoxBreath, it does seem pretty expensive since it's only the mount and you still need to have the controller as well, but I see people pay 5 euros for a coffee, so I'm sure there are people willing to pay this amount for just the mount! Slightly_smiling_Face

Thanks as always for helping out! Slightly_smiling_Face

Just type "dual shock phone mount" into Amazon, and you'll see the ones available, from cheap to expensive.

Ive got one of the Dobe branded ones, but they come in different names..

Clear and it's ok, it fits and holds the pad in place.

The extender for it is quite thin compared to my Mocute 54, which has a tendancy to switch the screen off, as they are spring loaded.

Not really had that issue with the Dobe one yet.

The one in the video is a GraphT model, quite expensive.

The official Sony one, I'm sure was removed from sale, I've still got mine, but it's not great for cases that aren't smooth, as it has a disc dashcam mount /lock mechanism.

Thanks for response but I was looking for sony official mount this is why I provided video with example. Also I do not trust Amazon store but this is another topic tnd not related to this thread.

Still thanks for reply. Maybe one day sony will start selling this mount by their shops? Anyone knows if they improved the lag in Xperia 1? I remember long time ago ps4 was unolayable on Xperia stream due to huge lag between actual steering, button click and actual response seen on screen.

Sony did sell their original one, for a while, but it was removed from sale.

They cracked, broke, and I guess will be re-released eventually.

You can still buy overpriced original Sony ones on Ebay.

If you bought a cheap on on Amazon, you can always send it back.

As to your video, that one isn't the original, That one is a GraphT model, third party, not that great.

My original Sony one came broken, the side hinges were cracked, and it's replacement had a cog loose in the box. So that was gorilla glued but with its dashcam style mount it only works on some cases.

I went for the cheap Dobe one, and it's plastic reminds me of the snap on phone cases or "crystal cases" - for handheld consoles or phones. The spring loaded phone holder can and will switch the screen off or press on the power button occasionally and leave the screenshot/power screen if you don't position it right.

It does the job though I guess.

Lately I settled for using my custom DS4 with a credit card sized stand for when there's down time at work. The stand was like £1.00 and it doubles up for viewing videos too.

Sadly it's not available. There really isn't any other clip with buying either since they're all plastic and break immediately...
