No 4K 60fps video recording?

Why isn't there a 4K@60fps video shooting? Worried_Face

Snapdragon 845/855 supports 4K@60fps shooting and competitor devices like Samsung Galaxy S10, LG G8/V50 ThinQ, Apple iPhone XS, HTC U12+, Xiaomi Mi 9, OnePlus 6T, Oppo Reno 10x zoom all have 4K@60fps shooting but Xperia XZ2,XZ3,even 1 do not have such a useful feature.. Is it going to be added in future updates?

Patience, we'll see what will be presented when the device is on the market.

There are only 720p(HD) 30fps, 1080p(Full-HD) 30fps, 1080p(Full-HD)60fps, 2160p(4K) HDR 24fps/SDR 30fps on Camera App

And 2K(2520 x 1080)/ 4K(3840 x 1644) 21:9 HDR 23.98/29.97fps on Cinema Pro App powered by CineAlta, Neither of them have 4K@60fps recording....Pensive_Face

I have yet to see any good video in 60fps or more coming from a mobile phone. They are all crap. Even 4K 30fps videos are crap. The best shooting mode is still 1080p in 30fps

Why sony must be always lacking behind?

I think we will see 4k 60fps at sony when competition will be having super slow motion in 8k...

Well, the competition is behind on super slow motion so I think Sony will get there first, but...

Regarding 4k60 I must admit I am in full agreement with you here, I always use 4k60 when I can as it adds the flexibility of a little slow motion without comprising the frame rates. I feel Sony want to stick to the "cinematic" structure of things, with frame rates such as 23.9, 29.8, 30, etc. On the plus side this enables each frame to have better detail due to not halving a bitrate, but on the negative, the flexibility is reduced.

I do hope to see 4k60 before the next jump in resolution.

Well, the proc and the sensor are certainly capable of it, so let's hope some third party apps will support it.
