Trying to disable tap to wake (it still works even when turned off)

I have disabled Tap to show lock screen but if I lock the screen, wait for the always-on display to go dark, and then double tap the screen it wake up. How do I disable this feature?

The phone keeps waking up when in my pocket and sends touch signals across my screen.

Can you try to find another option called "Always on display", and try to disable it and check again?

Yeah, that seems to work, but is not the solution I'm looking for. I want my AOD on but the screen to not respond to any touches. It needs to be useful.

I believe the screen will wake up if it's exposed to any  interactions, as long as the AOD is on
