Can Sony or someone help please. I bought this new Xperia 1 IV to replace my older Xperia 5 as it is supposed to have a superior camera function. I've tried the Basic, Auto and P settings but the telephoto lens options give very disappointing images. They lack focus and definition. They appear little better than taking a photo with the 24mm lens and electronically zooming in. I'm using ISO 100 to 200 in bright light and with a fairly high shutter speed. I have a Alpha 7R camera so am familiar with P settings. Is there another setting I'm not getting correct or might there be a fault with the new phone camera?
Thanks
Dave.
Hello @DavidSmith,
can you upload images you are not satisfied with to your next reply, so community members can check the EXIF data to find where the P mode messed up maybe?

This is an example of a jpg photo take in 4:3 format using the 125mm lens. ISO 100, F2.8 (not possible to alter), 1/2000 sec.
And this example
Have you put any lens protection film/glass on the lens assembly?
Xperia 1 series lenses are VERY sensitive to lens protectors. It makes image fuzzy/blurry and introduce flares sometimes especially with the Xperia 1 IV 80-125 zoom lens.
