I want to buy the X1, but you make it so hard on us sometimes when you take away software features we use almost every day. I'm mainly talking about Xperia Actions.
It's such a simple software, it really needs to be re-branded to be a Sony App, and not buried in settings, so more people would use it.
I don't want to use a 3rd party app like Tasker, it's very complicated to set p and hard use for ME, so the average person's learning curve is worst!
Sidenote: Now that the X1 has returned to flagship tablet status, are you going to bring back Xperia Z Ultra feature of using any object draw?
I love you Sony, but stop removing features, build upon.
Thanks.
It's official it has been discontinued after the release of the XZ3. Disappointing. I don't understand why, but I'm still pushing for it to come back. It just needs to be rebranded to something else as a major feature.
Until then I'll opt for this.
This is what my current settings look like on my Xperia XZ2 Premium. See below.
Why do you think that removed this feature? In the video review I saw this menu item https://youtu.be/P5R9_VMO5GQ 3:45 minutes of video.

It's taken out of the Xperia 10 Plus too, as Night Mode is taken out and moved outside. Then it's not inside Xperia Assist, as it is supposed to have Xperia Actions inside it.
We will have to opt for the APK, which most likely won't work.
If we complain enough, perhaps they will put it Xperia Actions back?!
it is ABSURD and FOOLISH Sony will ocntinue to remove useful software from its devices.
Samsung S10 line has Routines that are the exact equal of Xperia Actions! This highlights how very useful was this feature to be copied from others.
Sony continues its lost in sells and as conseguence reduce its funds on Mobile Xperia division by cutting workplaces and features to develop and support. It is focusing to produce a Pixel like smarphones: also Xperia Home launcher, very beatiful and cared to elegance, deleted for an anonimous Pixel launcher.
Since Hirai was gone Sony has lost its identity and customers year after year. XZ2 Premium the last Sony philosophy smartphone.

I didn't buy the XZ3 for two main reasons. 1. It didn't have Xperia Actions. 2. It was the in-between device for 4K display Premium releases.
Sony was so focused on Touch Sense marketing, they put their eggs all in one basket. They ending up shooting themselves in the foot.Touch Sense + AI algorithm is a very cool concept, but with bad execution; Sony shoved Touch Sense down our throats, leaving the software settings with low optimization, touch location too broad, and the sensitivity too high. Leaving the end user to just turn it off; scrapping the concept as useless. Pretty bad.
Now the release of the Xperia 10, 10 Plus, 1;
There's now sensitivity management for Touch Sense. However, way too late and the Review-Damage is done.
What's missing from MWC 2019 Release and the actual use case. It's missing the pre-selected apps split screen called "Multi-Window."
I'm still wanting a solution for Xperia Actions and I think I found one for you.
By integrating Xperia Actions with Touch Sense; which is a feature the users are already familiar with "Xperia Actions" and merging with "Touch Sense" - is a semi-solution. Something that's is beloved and merging it with something that users detest. Doesn't sound like a great combo at first, but if executed correctly, it could work. Not completely merged integration, but just like you did with the Mult-Window software. First, you need to turn Xperia Actions becomes an outside, standalone app, broken AWAY from "Xperia Assist." Then, you can add the shortcut window to touch sense.
In conclusion, you don't need notifications shortcut there when you can just thumb down at any location... Replace it with Xperia Actions, shortcut. The shortcut only needs to jump to Xperia Actions classic window. No need to integrate within Side Sense. Just a shortcut to the feature is good enough. Therefore makes Side Sense considered useful. Before the app was buried inside Xperia Assist, no regular person can find it. Move Xperia Actions to the forefront as it already has special use to existing customers.
Hi guys
Which Xperia Actions do you use the most?
In Xperia 1, you´ll have a much better dedicated Game Mode - it has a different name.
Regarding the bedtime, you can always go to Do Not Disturb options and set everything to work properly, along with the Night Mode screen calibration.
It´s not the same, but it´s possible.

Definitely Night Mode, Turn off Auto Rotation n during bed hours... As I lay down in bed and read articles. It's super annoying to read something and it keeps flipping around. I just let the app do it and I never have to touch the auto rotate shortcut through the weeks. A simple thing, but makes 1st-world life easy.

Of course, I can spend the time to press a button, but I'm talking about Timed Automation here.
Screen rotate on by day. Off by night.
I see where you're getting at though, Android P added the little icon on the corner when reading Chrome.
1 month use of the Xperia 1.
It still kills me there is no Xperia Actions.
Sony may say it's because of less usage, but you need to let users know whete it is because it's baked into the settings and not an independent app.
Making it an independent app like you did Xperia Tips, Game Enhancer, Cinema Pro.
