Sony Xperia 10ii Not connecting to non-Sony headphones

Hi, I got Sony Xperia 10ii a few days ago and one of the problems seems to be that it does not recognise non-Sony headphones or earphones - I tried Sennheiser and Skull Candy. An old set of Sony earphones seem to work fine. Has anyone had a similar problem and found a solution? I don't want to twiddle the earphone jack too much in case it stops recognising the Sony earphones too.

Do you see any difference when you compare the plugs?

No, they are identical. The headphones work fine with other types of
devices (iPhone, laptop, another android phone)

Did you try to update the phone's software sometimes it helps?

Thanks, it says there are no updates

Maybe the headphones are just not compatible with the phone.

Thanks. Does this mean that the phone only works with Sony
earphones/headphones, as I've tried a couple of different brands? I
remember the headphones stating that they are Android - compatible...

Well that depends on the compatibility of the third party headphones with the phone, if it works normally with Sony headphones, then I recommend that you stick to the original Sony headphones instead of the third party ones.
